Lake Markham Preserve - Safe speed thru front gates

Dear Lake Markham Preserve Residents,
The HOA has commented on "safe speed" through the gates, for those that have remote-gate-openers. Presently, the authorized "safe speed" through the gates is 5 mph. Residents are urged to please not accelerate through the gates, but rather to coast through the gates and then after clearing the gatehouse area, resume normal speed. Several reasons for this request include that pedestrians & pets are obscured from a drivers sight around the gatehouse area and brick wall. Also, just past the gates, at the first median/ island, there presents a blind spot to approaching drivers, as pedestrians may be obscured from sight.

Please drive safely and watch for pedestrians
